Re: Recommend a letting agent.. or not

I don't think you'll find one without the fees, Ruby. Ed Milliband's plan to get them scrapped was overturned by the Lords. Obviously, private landlords don't charge them but houses round here go very quickly. I let a house in Chorlton but it is never empty as the first person to see it takes it eac...

Re: Crime!

"The absolute truth about Chorlton is it's overrun by opportunists scumbags" I would argue that that is somewhat of an exaggeration and not "the absolute truth". Fair enough. However I would argue that it is. Fair enough. I would point to the evidence and demonstrate that Chorlt...

Re: Streaming the internet to non-smart television?

Re: What has Gove been up to?

Could you also call out gullible / disingenuous or downright untruthful right-wing nonsense too? Just so we know you're not biassed. Gove's single-mindedness is part of his personality and directly relevant to the role he performs. For example, where one of his policies is not working (Free schools)...

Re: What has Gove been up to?

You are entitled to your opinion, but when you talk nonsense, without any basis in fact, you have to accept that you will be challenged. My statement is based on personal experience, and the views of newly qualified and well established teachers on their early steps into the world of teaching at var...

Re: What has Gove been up to?

There's an interesting article in the Spectator written by someone who liked Michael Gove and his policies very much...until he met him. http://www.spectator.co.uk/features/9158241/the-disturbing-certainty-of-michael-gove/ blekinsop, "Anyone who has had any exposure to teachers / teaching in ou...

Re: What has Gove been up to?

Well, according to every teacher I've spoken to, he's been systematically ruining the education system. I'm not sure if he's done anything illegal though.

Rabid left wingers will want to believe he has. TossPot wants to believe he hasn't.

Re: Post

Sometimes, it's hard to work out why people vote Tory. Then you see what they think and realise it's just because they are wrong. Obviously, it's less black and white than that but they don't really do grey areas very well so just speaking their language so they can understand without their trademar...

The very best of luck to you and, as an owner of such a thing myself, I can confirm that anyone wanting to rent want should do...shortly before buying one of their very own.
