Re: Adams chippy review

On the way back from the vets in Didsbury I stopped at a new chippy opposite the Red Lion near The Christie, it is the best one I've been to in years. On the first try they put the food into polystyrene boxes which made the batter a bit soggy, but even so it was by far the nicest I've had in Manches...

False eyelashes

I know that this is a bit of cheeky advertising, but my husband is a fully qualified lash technician, working from home in Whalley Range. He trained to apply semipermanent lashes and to tint lashes and brows too. Most of his customers are from word of mouth and Chorlton based, so I hope you don't mi...

Re: An immaculate house yes .... but £410k

You know that idea of getting interior design involved to sell your house........ Vile sterile pile. No character at all..... like an Ikea catalogue. ugh. I like houses with a bit of age in them... Comfy, sound-absorbing materials... and CARPETS! For once Anni I must agree with you. There is only s...

Man and Van

Hi, I'm fitting a new bathroom next week and wonder if anyone knows of a cheap man and van service? I'll need to shift a loo basin, bidet metal bath as well as a single divan and some carpet etc. Just saw the price of skips  and wondered if the van may work out cheaper. Any ideas ?

Re: A couple of questions for dog owners

Chorlton really is a place for animal lovers, or should I say cat lovers! :P I dont have to take my dogs out as the garden is fine for them to run around in,and to be honest there is not much that irritates me more than kids who are scared of animals so that way i can avoid them. This hysteria abou...

Re: Dirty Old Town

Born in the late 50s I've known Chorlton all my life and it is nothing like it used to be, getting worse each year since the 70s now its awful , I avoid it whenever I can, no proper shops, no parking, dirty and scruffy.

Re: New mai wah closed

They " modernised" the place some years back, you know the sort of thing ,out with the flocked paper and carpets, in with the grey paint and wooden floors. Made it feel cold and noisey, went once and never went back again, felt like a canteen.
