Re: Closing down... opening up

I have seen a pre let agreement to Booths. They were signed up by previous owners before GMPF acquired from Citybranch. They went into their scheme in Hale Barns so this was an easy deal. Not sure when development will start but positive in any event.

Re: Closing down... opening up

Only a matter of time - beech road would be prime fodder for a piccolino or restaurant bar and grill...trevor arms is closing down for a full refurb into a gastro food pub. Gentrification continues....

Greenlid - where abouts do you live as its not clear. I agree with Annie - i pity people that choose to live on Merseybank / Nell Lane. So much trouble going on there its quite unbelievable the police dont do more....

Re: How should we dispose of the Tories (and UKIP)?

Tory landslide i think Annie....certainly worth a few quid.... People will see the improving economy, 10k tax threshold and proposed referendum in Europe as a real positive. Milliband just doesn't cut it and i cant see enough voters voting for him. Could have been a different storey if Dave Milliban...

Re: Chorlton High Street.....a real state...

I think you will find Annie that Chorlton has loads of money. 250k for a terrace house - doesn't indicate a poor suburb to me.

I think you'll find that most people will agree that Chorlton is tatty....maybe we should do a survey to show how wrong you really are....

Chorlton High Street.....a real state...

Couldn't help but take a photo this morning whilst walking into Morrisons to highlight Chorlton's shit hole of a high street : Crappy local shops, rundown takeaways, dingy charity shops most with tatty shop fronts and rusty shutters. I wont even mention the hole of a precinct. Surely there is someth...

Re: Chorlton Bookshop Under Threat?

Thought it was going to be a cafe / bar with 11pm closing. Probably a good little edition to that part of Chorlton that lacks from a decent establishment. The book shop has nothing to do with it as she said she would have to close it because she would no longer be able to live above her shop due to ...
