Re: Chorlton MOT Centre - anyone used them?

M.O.T.s are always a contentious area and people always feel hard done by when their car fails. I have used Chorlton MOT centre for the past three years and not had a problem because it passed each time. One of those years they were taking the vehicles to anothers station in Chorlton (behind Azid Ma...

Re: Chorlton is a Royal Wedding street party hotspot, appare

So can I just go into the Conservative and Lauriston clubs for a drink? The Lauriston seems to have confusing and contradictory signs outside saying 'Members only' and 'Visitors welcome'. Are they like a pub or more like the Irish club? Any events worth going to? Can't speak for the Lauriston but a...

Re: Chorlton is a Royal Wedding street party hotspot, appare

To answer an ealrlier post the con club in Chorlton is a social club and is only called the Conservative Club for some legal reason. I can assure you defintaley not a politcial club as they used to be. Friday nights is still Karaoke night and it it is popular with a lot of people from out of the are...

Re: The Royal Oak

The "oak" is one of the last few remaing proper pubs in Chorlton. I am not a skinhead I do not have very short hair and I certainly don't go out looking for trouble. I visit the Oak regularly and have never had any bother. Yes there are some dickheads that go in but if you are in the busin...

Re: Police Activity in Chorlton Last Night

To be fair Darren and Diane have done a good job in the Oak it's nowhere near as bad as it used to be. The other week it was trouble at a family function. The pub did what they should and the police visited the place several were told to leave, later it kicked off outside with the same crowd. That w...

Re: Then and Now...

I am sure that there are some that go in there over the weekend that will remember the incident. On some nights (usually a Friday) the con club can be a good place for a night out. Fantastic building but suprising how man people dont even know its there. Might make a difference now that they have ta...
