Re: Traffic Congestion

I usually go down Nell Lane, but I went down Barlow Moor once some time last month outside of rush hour and it looked like there was still major work happening with one lane completely closed and both directions being filtered across one at a time. I don't imagine this is very fun at rush hour.

I'm pretty sure you can get two "large" waste collections per year from the council. Just call the environmental services department.
That is unless they've cut the funding...

I'm too young to be entitled to an opinion on this.

Re: Computer repair shop

There's the very strange compufix next to Iguana (or whatever its called this time round). Its been there for years, but if you ever go in they don't appear to have any knowledge about or interest in computers. Presumably just a front for something else. What's the problem with the computer Beaker?...

Re: Anyone know who owns 76 and 78 Mcr Rd (next to tesco)

I've heard rumors that one or both of these properties are brothels...

Based on the exterior state of the properties I'm not surprised the letting agent hasn't put pictures up on that site.

Re: Chorlton rests on its laurels?

The good ones never have a problem letting their house(s) so they are rarely on the market, however. Indeed. My landlord won't be looking for a new tenant any time soon.. If possible, stay away from letting agencies and find independent owners. They usually take better care of their property as the...

Dry cleaners opposite B&M has been cleared out and I saw someone in there on my way home. I wonder what kind of food that inevitable takeaway will serve.

I've not posted on here before (I'm usually just a casual observer) but I felt compelled to say how entertaining it is to read the brisk digression from being impressed by haddock to a full-blown heated debate on the pros and cons of the BBC license fee. My two penny worth: I like the BBC and I lik...

Newspaper

I'm trying to find some way of getting a load of old (or free) newspapers for use in a litter tray. I don't get any through my door and don't buy them normally, so I have trouble getting enough to last very long. Searching on google simply returns loads of results for actual newspapers and online ne...

Re: The price of Christmas trees

Last year I got one from the grocers next to the Barbakan, it fared well and didn't cover the floor in needles. It was about a metre and a half tall and cost £25 with a stand, I think. I'm going to check out Ikea on Saturday, as apparently they have them on offer (last weekend and this one) for £25....
