Re: Dogs in Beech Road Park

We'll said Scottie. Dog owners/walkers are the main users of most Manchester parks and are unfairly pilloried by Manchester City council and parents who use the park only when the weather is nice and expect it to be perfect as if by magic.

Re: A Coffee chain opening in Chorlton

The precinct looks 100% better. Hopefully more people overall will stop for a coffee in Chorlton, so that the independents also don't miss out and might benefit.

Re: Working from home

Kristen may have experience of the public sector approach to working from home. In my own experience this can be badly managed and end up a scive, with unmonitored outcomes and a tendency to work from home to suit someones domestic circumstances, look after kids, workmen appointments etc. It's total...

Re: Easiest way to Cheadle?

Cheadle is annoyingly difficult to get to by public transport, as the x57 is so limited. A lot of people just walk the 15 min walk down Manchester road from Parrswood into Cheadle village. Getting to Parrswood is easy though. There is also another bus maybe the 370? Arriva bus down Manchester road b...

Re: 85 and 86 bus question

Definitely wait on the road, then casually saunter into the lay-by if that's where the bus turns.

Re: 85 and 86 bus question

I like the fact that we can ask fairly mundane thing on this site and get a reply. We don't always want heavy political arguments a la that effing path!

Re: 85 and 86 bus question

I always choose the 86, it's that tedious slow right turn at the four banks that slows the 85 down.

Re: More bike thefts

That's horrible, unfortunately Chorlton seems to be a target for burglars at the moment. But why are these scrotes so determined to get any old bike?
