Re: Closing down and opening up

that's an odd place to grow christmas trees  I do wonder if that is why they left the televisions on all the time .... so anybody with a heat detector would think it was the heat from the televisions? Actually maybe that only applies when they use the police helicopter when they are looking fo...

Love Beer Festival @ SWMCC

Anyone at a loose end this weekend get along to this https://www.facebook.com/LoveBeerFestivals It was organised by a friend of mine who I doubted could pull off what was promised from their literature/flyers but having been tonight I can confirm that they have seriously pulled it off. A huge venue ...

Re: Good/bad local customer service?

I find I get more warmth and humanity from the self checkout machines in Morrisons than I do from their staff. Truly dreadful place. Never particularly enjoyed going in Barbakan. Good ones that stand out for me off the top of my head - Unicorn, Turkish Delight (front and back), Carringtons, Hickson ...

Re: Chorlton Facebook group

I went on there recently and it looked as though there had been a bit of a ding-dong over Electrik... Couldn't be arsed looking to see what it was all about though.

Re: Spinning Classes

That pretty much sums it up RH... Nice and clean and bright in there with the spin bikes in good working order. They seem to have 3 rooms used for different activities. No changing facilities/showers but I expect most of their customer base live 5-10 minutes away. You're right it's not David Lloyd b...

Re: Early evening specials?

Went to the Lead Station last night and the £9 special was superb value. They seem to have resolved the portion size issue and the food was excellent - I know it's had mixed reviews in the past but I've never had a bad meal there. Very toddler friendly too and the kids menu was great value.

Anyone had this?

I often see it mentioned on their blackboard outside and think I must try it. But will I be disappointed?

Re: Computer repair shop

I use cc cleaner regularly and defrag the hard drive but it's getting slower and slower. If you use WIndows, it pays to reinstall the OS every year... not only does it strip out the unnecessary garbage, but it streamlines the OS. It's time consuming but well worth it... (Oh, and a full 3Gb for 32-b...
