Re: Bloody labour party conference

Also, if you wanted to commit a crime in the suburbs now would be a good time to do it as the entire GMP are on duty in the city /rant. Actually they've drafted in 1000 extra officers for the city centre, so the numbers of police in the suburbs are not going to be affected. It is inconvenien...

I have heard the Mail is a little right-wing, but I read the website articles sometimes and don't find them them particularly offensive to my vaguely liberal values. Maybe I'm not looking hard enough... /not particularly into politics http://www.dailymail.co.uk/home/index.html This article illustrat...

Hmm interesting thread. I used to think the Hilton was an eyesore but then one day I saw it in the low winter sunshine, the top just touching low grey clouds, and realised its design fitted perfectly with the Manchester skyline. The long vertical lines resembled rainfall and it bridged the gap betwe...

They're lovely Yoss.

I like lots of parts of Chorlton, but I suppose if it came down to just one place, it would have to be Chorlton Park, for the memories of many frosty winters and lazy summer days.
The festivals, football games, dog walking, family fun... er OK I'm rambling now.

One-eyed Cat

OK this is a bit of a long shot, but what the heck... In 1992 I lost a one year old black cat, who had one eye. We lived on Clarendon Road, Whalley Range Just wondered if he was found/seen since by anyone? He was very friendly so I always hoped someone had taken him in. Not looking to get him...

Not a lot of difference, and depends totally on whether there's an accident/roadworks/tractor in front of you.

I usually find the M6/A500/A50 is faster.
Though the M6 starts to get really busy about 6.30am, the A roads are much emptier.
Plus its a lovely scenic route at sunrise :)
