Re: Unions

Thanks digger. i think I must be having some kind of midlife crisis. I am getting really angry with the way the deficit and the cuts issue is being presented in the media, and the generally unthinking response most people have. Everyone is just so resigned to their fate Also, the delight so many peo...

Re: Unions

OK, that's a credible argument even if it's one I believe to be deeply misguided. Glad to hear that you rely on faith for your opinions rather than reasoned argument or interrogation of the facts! We could perhaps pop along to see the Pope together and see what his take on budget deficits is. The b...

Re: Licensed Private Members Club

i live near iguana and it's a pain in the ass especially Thursday to Saturday due to the late licence - regular disturbances caused by late night drunken puking, peeing, fighting and fornicating, plus the additional delight of drugs being sold and taken near the polish shop and chopin. plus the traf...

Re: Unions

I'd be interested to know what you mean by this. If I spend more than I earn then I have a budget deficit and it is a significant problem. Mardi,it's a really complex issue but I'll do my best to explain what I mean - in particular this idea that government and personal debt is somehow the same. Pe...

Re: Unions

Can I just add that the notion that the budget deficit is a significant problem is a load of old codswallop. It's a myth perpetrated by the rich to ensure they get richer ... which is nice. Less taxes I reckon, especially for Russ.

Re: Mini Waitrose coming to Chorlton

there's no hypocrisy in preferring a Waitrose to another Tesco, a Sainbury, a Morrisons, or an Asda ... Waitrose, part of the John Lewis Partnership, is a cooperative so has the same ownership structure as Unicorn. there's nothing like a quick knee jerk anti-yoghurt knitting reaction from the plebs....

Re: Action Plan for Chorlton released

i dont think its all that difficult to work out what the plan is ... I can't remember the exact details but if you check out the firm who carried out the survey they are linked to one of the local developers who have done similar work in Urmston. So, reading between the lines ... a large Sainsbury o...
