Re: Wi-fi speakers/music systems? Sonos?

You can use apple airport express(es) to stream music from your phone or via iTunes on computer. Cost about £70 each, they'll connect to any amp or speaker that has an aux input. You can only connect to one at a time from phone but from iTunes on PC you can connect to as many or few as you wish if y...

Re: Smart television question

I find that iplayer is the only on line feature worth using on my tv, but it can also play back movies/tv programmes from a memory stick which is very useful, and can record from tv to memory stick. But there's a cheaper way though - You can get all the same functions by getting a blu ray DVD player...

Re: Moving advice needed...

A friend of mine recently moved to Marple and it's actually quite down to earth - around Marple Bridge is twee but Marple itself isn't. You might like Romiley too - or even Bredbury. I'd have thought the best thing to do would be what they do on Location Location Location... look at what you could a...

Re: New leisure centre at Hough End: More consultation

I maybe missing something here but what I don't get is what exactly do people who are against the closure of Chorlton Leisure Centre want?

Just for it to keep running and being patched up indefinitely, or is there some other alternative?

Re: A Coffee chain opening in Chorlton

As a parent of teenage kids - one good thing about Costa is that it's a decent place where teenagers can meet up at weekends.
I know there's millions of calories in those creamy sugary things they sell but i'd rather my kids sat chatting in Costa than Subway or the crappy chicken places.

Blockbuster to become a Morrisons convenience tore
the shop that used to be Ethel Austin a Sue Ryder shop

(Hope I'm wrong, but the orange paint being daubed on what was a very lovely interior @ Sweet Tooth Cupcakery looked pretty tacky to me)

Re: An immaculate house yes .... but £410k

Not only is it overpriced by about 100k but it's right opposite Oswald Road School and there are parking restrictions outside which mean whoever buys it has to either get up by 8am every day and move their car - or park round the corner.

Re: Chief Rent

Those Shenstone people sound like a right bunch of tossers.
We pay ours to the estate of a dead lady, via her solicitor... presumably her descendants are living the high life on our £3 per year but at least we have never had any problems with paying late.
