Is that a bit of oneupmanship, Annie? Can't believe you've read it all by Day 1, 08.29am. Or was it a nicked copy?

I'm not so sure. Mine ate a slug yesterday. Nearly choked him as his air holes got blocked. Soapy water and tissue paper saved the day.

Hello, Just read this thread - first time here for 6 months. What's happened to all your brains? It's all drivel. Must be better things for you all to do.
Close this thread Mark.

If a waiter/ress serves 30 tables in an evening and each table spends, say £80, then he has pocketted £240 in tips. For a 5 day week, thats £1200.
There must be some error in my maths?
I say. Don't tip anybody and let market forces adjust wages accordingly.

Glad I'm remembered. Well Steve, I lived under the bridge 'cos I had nowhere else to go. I went down to Cornwall looking for my Dad who was a puppeteer, but he had moved on. It's all there in previous threads, under my name. I've been a chalet maid in the Lake District, Mark and at present I am a gu...

Hello Folks, Since this is a welcome thread I'll say Hi everybody. Glad to see that this Forum has become so established. Well done Mark. Most of you won't remember me, but I lived under the railway bridge in a tent in St.W's Road for a year or so. Glad Annie and Louise are still top dogs - or is th...

"Shut the swear_words_not_allowed up" but said with a southern or American accent. * I must explain that is not what I typed. I think Mark must sit at his machine night and day to ensure purity. I'm tempted to type a string of slightly offensive words and see what happens..... Bum, tits, d...

Pete, you have generated such a lot of tripe in this thread that I suggest if we are all here on the 13th September then your penalty is to do what your man says for 10 days. And if we are all in Heaven, I'll buy you a pint as an apology.

Thanks to the Tortoise Carers Club. My Ebay keyfinder is only costing £1.50 + postage so I'll try that first then move up the technical scale if it fails. I think Pushkin is too thick to be worried by sounds, Pete. I also like the idea of glow paint and a torch. Ta........................... Oh yes,...

Talking of cats, I have a baby tortoise and he goes walk-about all the time. I have put a big orange blob on his shell to locate him when he hides under shrubs in the garden, but I guess I spend several hours a week searching and calling his name ( you know, - "Pushkin, Pushkin, where are you?&...

This means that the St. Werburghs bridge that I used to live under (rememeber, you older guys?) is now to be a major railway terminal -sort of.
Maybe they think I still live there and are building the link just for me.

Edwina had always fancied horse riding. So one day feeling courageous, with her money in her hand she went off for a go. She climbed on to the horse and all went well for the first couple of minutes but then the horse started to speed up. After a while she was hanging on for grim death. Then she sta...
