It's not as community oriented as it used to be.

More bars etc... so good for a night out, but I preferred it between 1998 - 2003. I changed it changed. I still like drinking there though and will do so tomorrow night. It will be just like drinking in London but £0.50 a pint cheaper.

No idea. I cycle back from the chorlton after after couple of pints in the dark and survived. But it is fairly scary - if something happens, who's gonna see?

I use it all the time for... Running (in daylight) Cycling (to Chorlton from Levenshulme, where I live, it also goes as far as The City of Manchester Stadium) Walking You typically find the following on the loop - men with fishing rods and darkened faces, skiers, dog walkers, teanage scallies smokin...

OIC

If it was the banks money, I;d say keep it, they probably made that much more from you over the years anyway. If it belongs to someone then I guess you've done the right thing - well done.

You've done the right thing by putting it in a building society to earn interest. If you can find anything that pays more interest put it in that. ISA maybe?

Now close your bank account.

I approve of ID cards. If the police ask me for it I'll say I lost it.

If a barperson asks for it, I'll show them so they know I am over 18.

In Levenshulme, we managed to ban battery chickens and eggs 13 years ago (a few months after we banned plastic bags and Tesco).

All branches of Netto, Abduls and other fine shops & eateries only stock free range organic produce - and it's so much better for it.

I think this thread now sums up Chorlton.web forum for 2007 (even though it's also a 2008 thread) in the way the thread has evolved / degenerated (delete as appropriate) into a mild character assassination and then something completely different.

What do folk think of the Plato?

That's blood, definitely. I beat up a Chorlton house owner out of bitter revenge. Rahahahaha! He died slowly.
