Not jealous, just a bit gutted that I was priced out of an area I loved living in by rish folk. But there are so many of them now that Chorlton is not what it used to be. Still a great place but, well, diluted.

Which moment of 2007 sums up Chorlton for you?

As the year draws to its close, I ponder - just because the media gently persuades us to do so (cue Terry Christian remeniscing about the best reality TV moment of 2007 on Channel 5 on 27/12/07) I thought I would ask the question, "Which moment of 2007 sums up Chorlton for you?". It could ...

Ticketmaster - the world would be a better place without them. They inflated booking fees to rediculous levels. They pay their staff shite wages. They ensure events are sold in a very unfair way. They are nothing but a bunch of tout bastards. The problem is, artists don't boycott them so it's almost...

For Tesco to open in Chorlton and Unicorn to come to Levenshulme. This will benefit the environment as folk from Levy won't have to drive for their organic vegan food and folk from Chorlton won't have to drive all the way to Levy to visit Netto, sorry, Tesco.

CB - what's with the signature? It's spelt Owain Glyndwr.

Do you mind Welsh folk talking Welsh in Wales or just in England?

Because of sweeping generalisations and negative stereotyping like this. Most Welsh folk are like anyone else though, they recognise small mindedness and react accordingly. I spoke to a Plaid Cymru councillor from Pembrokeshire when I was in Cardiff the other week, she said she would not have been e...

Can anyone help - Digital Photo Frames

I want to buy one of these for my gran who can;t operate a PC. I will preload photos (insert smutty joke here) before I send it to her. Which ones are easiest to use? Which ones are best value (some are £39 with a 7" screen). Do they all need a memory card or do any have pre installed memory. M...

Yes, but she went via the A6 so only just made it in time.

Thanks for all the helpful and funny responses, some of which arrived too late but thanks anyway.

Chorltonboy - great idea but autoroute is shyte. I know plenty of ways to get to Notts but not the quickest at that time in the morning.

Which is the quickest way to Nottingham?

A6 or M6?

She needs to be there for 10 so rush hour will be an issue.

My girlfriend needs to know ASAP!

Cheers

There are a few too many sweeping generalisations on this thread. They referring to people in Sudan. So they are all the same are they? Islam is about as modern as a middle age crusade. All Islam is is it? Maybe they should all get with the times and become Mormons or Scientologists then? What gets ...
