After the TIF bid

Postby Stanley » Sat Dec 06, 2008 12:19 am

After the TIF bid is decided, will we have anything to divide us or will we all go back to realising we're all the people we see walking around this great part of this wonderful city and get along very well?

You're joking again, right? We're human beings. Therefore we'll be separated by some or all of the following divides:

City fans vs United fans
(and for that matter...)
Football lovers vs football haters
Men vs Women
Employed vs Unemployed
Believers vs non-believers (aka The Damned)
(and any flavour of believer vs any other flavour of believer)
Chorlton-dwellers vs Levenshulme dwellers
Home-owners vs renters
Vegetarians vs meat-eaters
Tesco and anti-Tesco
Drinkers vs teetotallers
Drivers vs Cyclists
What you think vs what everyone else thinks
(the obviously traditional...) Zanu NuLab vs Thatcher's Bastards
Old vs Young
Coffee vs Tea
Any arbitrarily selected opinion vs Any arbitrarily selected counter-opinion

...you get the idea :?

Ho-hum. Maybe one day the world will wake up to the concept that diversity is bloody brilliant and friendliness, education and fun are the way forward.
