Wouldn't Twatin be more anatomically accurate?

Must admit I did consider that as an option when I posted that comment. It also has the benefit of allowing the parents to be *really* over the top and pronounce it in the French style. To rhyme with gratin.

I know this is a 3 year old thread, but since the Shell says it's closing on the 30th, is the original point of this thread about to come to pass?

Yes, I was frustrated to find that the cashpoint is now closed and the guy in the shop said it's definitely going to be a Morrisons station.

Morrisons are also threatening to build a three-storey blog of flats on top of their new store as well...

Total redevelopment of the site including the garage that used to be behind the Shell. No mention of flats. Permission granted 13th March.

I think there are two separate planning applications from Morrisions, one on Wilbraham Road, one on Barlow Moor Road. The B M Road one has flats above:
