There's a meeting at the leisure centre this Thursday, 17th November, to decide how to spend a small amount of money allocated to local groups:

I don't have any connection with this rather cringily titled event, but thought I might go along and put in my two pence worth since it's so nearby. Only residents of Chorlton ward can go and vote apparently so I doubt it will be a large or long meeting, although I suppose some groups will be more mobilised than others.
No list of applications on the website unfortunately, but in the past I think there have been very modest payments for things like play group equipment, flowering plants on bits of spare land and so on. This year I know the Cracking Good Food group has put in a bid and also the community allotment at Scott Avenue, plus thirteen others apparently.
the place on the chorlton bulletin board for vegetable-spread related chatter and other matters...it's the first, the best and it's currently hack free.
