Need boxes for packing up

Postby BeechBum » Sun Jan 15, 2012 11:52 pm

Moving again, not leaving Chorlton though.

Anyone know any shops or supermarkets that are good giving away their unwanted boxes.

Unicorn leave theirs in a pile just inside the door. Sometimes there's more than others and they're not usually very big though. I bet the white goods shop over the road has larger ones if you ask. I think shops have to pay to get their recyclables collected so you could probably ask pretty much any of them.

Leading on from what Pearl has just suggested then it may be worth giving A&S Domestic Services a phone call to see if they have any spare boxes.

I have loads in the basement where i work on Wilbraham Road, all different sizes! You are more than welcome to them. Send me a private message for contact info or pop into Studio Bea tomorrow after 12pm. I was just going to recycle them but this way is a better recycle :)

Hi Rachael,
Do you think you might have some more boxes accumulated by mid-February? (Might need a few before).
I've got to find some new digs at the end of Feb.
Thanks
(and sorry for the thread-jacking!)

Well my stash went today, but I could have more by then although it won't be as many but I'm happy to put them aside and see what I can get?

The arduous process of packing starts tomorrow, so I would love it if anyone local has any boxes I can come and collect.

How is your stash Rachael?

When the CO-OP on Barlow Moor Rd was being made in to the new one, they gave us a bunch of their boxes. Could try there as well. (The one near Chorlton Park, not the one futher up near the bus station.)

Th Co-op opposite Cherango do boxes too, don't think they give them away though.
I was in The 'Corn the other day, and the boxes that thye had were sturdy enough, though perhaps a tad on th esmall side.
