New Indian Restaurant Beech road.

Postby bacononthebeech » Sat Jun 01, 2013 3:23 pm

There will be a new Indian restaurant: Kulsumah on the former Impress site opening early July. Impress is sadly now shut & gone. This is totally new.
Looks 'posh' they have chandeliers up & booths arriving, they seem to be spending a lot on a refurb (it needed doing.)
They will also be eventually creating a decked area out front.
It will be a BYO as well.

I don't think they're aiming for that no.
Hope it's as good as they're promising.

Very good takeaway last time I tried.

But now we have a large Coriander!

Thinking about going here. Wondered if...

1) Any of you have been since the relaunch? If so, good/bad/indifferent?

2) What would you say is the best Indian restaurant in Chorlton nowadays?

1. Yes. We both had the runs after it, so bad.

2. Coriander is best for me.

Been a few times now. Really enjoyable. Much better than its previous incarnation, which was bland to say the least.

Haven't eaten at Impress or its replacement. But I'd say Chorlton's top curry house is either Asian Fusion (super friendly staff/nice atmosphere) or Coriander (best food).

I had the Kahari lamb chops from Zam Zam's last night after the rave reviews on here. They are quite, quite brilliant.

My girlfriend had one of the other lamb specials that tasted very nice as well.
