Plans to close pet corner

A real shame, the small animal enclosure at longford park is set to lose funding, and presumably close.

I have skirted round that part of the park for years as it used to be so sad to see birds in such small enclosures. Maybe that's changed recently?

The lovely people from Uprising Bakery are apparently going to take over the pets' corner and improve it considerably. Hurrah. I will start going again if it's just going to be goats, geese and other farm type animals rather than caged birds - I'm pretty sure the bakers will see that they have enough space and a nice pond.

Uprising was selling some amazing hot + buns outside the library on Saturday btw
