Wilbrahim/Corkland row of shops

Interesting story in the MEN ... the row of shops including the MetroCafe is up for sale.

Not sure how much success the owner will have persuading M&S etc. to open there but we'll see.

What would you like to see there? Or do the current shops deserve to stay?

Can't see a top end grocer opening there. For a start I think it's too small, there's no parking, and it's directly opposite the main competition. The current usage is just fine. This guy's done a great job of getting free advertising for the sale though!

The current shops & cafe don't 'deserve' to stay, however as successful businesses any new landlord would be pretty daft to fire them off.

God knows what'll happen there, probably another Coop, 'cos we just can't get enough of their rip off shops in M21
