Personal Message Spam - Let me know...

Look, there are currently loads of new registrations (well, relative to normal anyway).

New members have to be human (!! - they have to be able to read some text and type that text into a box; that can't be automated yet), but, if they can be bothered to take the trouble, that doesn't stop spammers...

So I also require every new appliction to be approved before the new member becomes 'active': I get an email and say 'yes' or 'no'. But how do I tell?

OK, if the new member has advertised a website selling Viagra, or something similar, obviously it's a 'No'.

But sometimes I'm going to get it wrong; so: if anyone gets any Private Messages from a member advertising anything, please let me know asap....

Sorry this is a bit dull, but I'm having to deal with this every single day, normally more than once...so I don't want this effort to be wasted!

just to clarify: virtually none of these 'members' actually get to be members; they register, and the website they specify is displayed on the members' list...then I go through the new registrations and work out who's real and who's not! then i delete the spammers and approve the rest.
there are spam registrations every day, far more than real ones.
It's a massive pain, but it's the best way i can think of at the moment.

I seem to have 80 friends on my page in the main who have requested to be on my page rather than me asking them, that suggests that they like it.

I'd like to see you run an election. What about people who haven't said anything but are reading? They have views too.
