THIS FORUM - Should it Continue?

Postby admin » Sun Jun 12, 2016 2:44 pm

As you'll realise, this forum has been in the doldrums for a fair while.

Has anyone got any strong opinions (either way) about keeping it going or shutting it down?

Whatever we decide, it's been a pretty good run :)

It's up to you Mark; as you say, it certainly had a fair old run. It's niche has been steamrollered by facebook imho, but others may disagree.

I should probably be removed as a moderator though, I just logged in for the first time in ages only to find more than 800 posts awaiting my approval. Fortunately they appear to be almost entirely spam (apologies if I missed your genuine post).

It would be a shame to lose the archive.

Hmmm......I have a look every now and again (including last night) and didn't see any posts for approval (other than some new topics that I approved.

I really don't look very often nowadays but nor do I look at the facebook page either - so that's just down to me not having as much time as I used to .

Unfortunately it looks like the more recent posters are spammers:

Whatever you decide to do - well done for keeping it going for so long and yes, it has been a darned good run.

Still 812 topic posts awaiting approval for me. Not a one of them worth approving. The user name always begins with 'Tomcu'

I'd like to see the forum stay too but it's a pity not to see more posts.

It's difficult to complain though as I'm probably as guilty as most for not contributing recently

Interesting looking at the stats though .....As I'm typing this it shows 10 users online, me and 9 guests in the last 5 mins, so people are looking in!
Also looking at the stats the most users ever online was 379 on Sat Mar 26, 2016 10:00 pm
So what happened at 10pm Mar 26th ??????????

It seems like the Facebook group has vanished. Either that or I've been kicked out and it's been hidden from me.

So there might be a big exodus back here!

Seems I have been banned. Not sure what I did to deserve that!
