New website for 'occasional music event' Blowout is up

the place on the chorlton bulletin board for vegetable-spread related chatter and other matters...it's the first, the best and it's currently hack free.

New website for 'occasional music event' Blowout is up

Postby blowout » Tue May 25, 2004 11:20 pm

Well, well, well Chorlton has its own website !
How smart is that. Feel a bit naughty posting here
as most of Chorlton seems to have 'Blowout' and its
loud music sessions at The Irish Club down for some
troublesome types.

Am I really totally alone in hating all this DJ xxxx stuff?

Posters with daft names on, as if they were rockstars?

Gimme an anonymous DJ who keeps his mouth shut and plays good new music and classic tunes any day. All this "DJ culture" leaves me cold.

DJ Anni in da houz :)

Well said, Annie.

It should be about having a laugh, playing some records (or CDs, let's not be elitist now) and making people dance. Not about egos or how 'cool' you are!

Not that I'm accusing Blowout of such a thing - I've never been so I can't comment.

The name chosen for me by my ma and pa was bloody awful. I changed it as soon as humanly possible.
