The major issue with hot linking is bandwidth theft. Given that (a) chorlton web itself probably does not have THAT many hits in the great scheme of things (what's your current page-views-per-month figure, Mark?) and (b) you're not sourcing your pics all from the same site (you're not, are you? :oops: ) then I suspect the sites that own the pics won't even notice.

Having said that, if your source sites display any messages explicitly forbidding inline links then you'd help avoid a "situation" by not using pics from those sites.

If you're worried, you could right click on the image in question and Save As... it to a location you can find.

Then use an image hosting website to host (i use http://www.imageshack.us ).

Saves the worry of sites complaining about hotlinking.
